these were taken about an hour outside of seattle in black diamond, washington. this is the front yard of my grandparents’ old house. the new tenants have allowed the house to fall into disrepair, grass growing over the gravel. we almost parked and looked around, it took us so long to realize there were two cars in the driveway. 

(all of these pictures were taken on a minolta hi-matic f with kodak portra 160, scanned four times by airport security and opened and transferred to a film canister in broad daylight. my dad developed the photos and warned me that they were ‘really bad. really washed out.’)
